The Universal Language

I was style surfing I came upon Eastern Cinematic New Age and thought I should do something with this. So I did. This is my first ever song that I didn't play any instrument or VSTi.

Tempo = 65 PBM
The Guzhang and percussion are RTs while the balance of the tracks I converted in to MIDI:
Bass - Synthmaster 3 - preset -148 Babass Bros
Strings - Quiet Music - preset - Solaris GTR
Utility track #1 - Ujam SE Strings
Utility track #2 - Ujam SE Brass
Note I duplicated the utility track but used a different VSTi on each.

As always all comments are welcomed.

Mario,

This is excellent. Love the mysterious atmosphere you have created here. I don't believe I have ever heard this style.

Awesome work as usual!

Mario, when I first clicked on this, I meant to ask a question about the sounds you were using, but after listening for a few minutes. I found myself floating on a sea of clouds, surrounded by myriads of natural prisms, showering me with warm, soothing….well, anyway, it was a pleasant listen. I’m going to play it for my hyper-active cat.

The guzheng is a lovely instrument. Great arrangement soundtrack piece.

Super ambient piece, Mario. The strings and brass were really nice touches, and I like your changes a lot. "Style surfing" is one of my favorites pastimes, especially after a new release. smile

Oh, yeah, we here all know the universal language, but you, Mario, are one its most fluent speakers. With this one you are all the way across the globe. Alan has also brought this genre out in an intriquing way. This is the kind of stuff Ilistened to in my preteens --I know, weird kid. Man, you build this song so brilliantly, Mario. I am thoroughly enjoying the ride, seeing the sights you convey with the suggestive music. Tall mountains of Taoist temples nearly invisible because of their respect for the natural surroundings. Then we get a peak inside to see the master meditating on his guzhang.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Mario.
There are wonderfully eerie parts to this.
I could imagine Nosferatu moving through creepy castle passages.
Well done.

I love those Chinese RealTracks, I wish there were as many of them as there are guitar RTs smile You have nicely used the guzhang to create a mystical and haunting scene. Intriguing chords, a normal major chord seems to be followed by a minor or a strange chord. Those strings sound lovely. Very creative work! Music is a universal language, I enjoyed your storytelling - no words needed, you are becoming also the wizard of RealTracks smile Thank you for this journey full of tastes and scents from your musical deli.

Thanx Marty for this wonderful review. I doubt that I am the most fluent speaker of the universal language but I am much better at it than Englash, Englush, , oh whatever language I am typing.

Thanx Janne I am glad you liked this song. No I am not a wizard of RTs. There are many more on this forums far more advanced a using RTs than I am but thanx for the thought.
