As far as I am aware, the Audio Edit window is the only way to copy sections of audio and paste it in different locations. I suspect that the reason it can be done with Realtracks is because BIAB is actually copying the information needed to generate the Realtrack audio at a specific location and it is not copying the actual audio. I agree with you, too. Using the ALT+F8 approach (on the chordsheet) for copying and pasting Realtracks is a great tool. It's a very easy way to create instrumental hooks throughout an arrangement.
