Let's create a platform of Band In A Box producers to serve the songwriting community! Here's how we can do it while keeping it affordable for under resourced artists. [https://youtu.be/2_aQKmg3PQY]()
Songwriting punctuates our lives. It is alchemy, turning pain into gold. Songs choose their composers when they enter the world. I try to remain open and ready.
Interesting concept for sure. Good on you for thinking through the interface and laying it all out in a workable framework.
Acknowledging the older demographic of many (most?) BiaB producers on this forum, many are hobbyists who do this as a retirement hobby, just for fun. I'm in this group, though I didn't start out there. If a songwriter wanted to collaborate with me on a production, I'd do it gratis so long as it didn't require an extraordinary amount of effort. So if I was interested in your concept, I'd likely post a price of $0. Or maybe $1. But monetizing my BiaB fun isn't a priority. Having fun with whatever I do is.
I've not used AI to produce a song, but the results I've heard are often impressive, and in many cases comparable or superior to many BiaB productions. Suspect whatever gap exists will continue to rapidly shrink, and the pricing does not appear to be a barrier.
I'll be watching this thread with much interest.

DC Ron, You are very welcome to join the group and charge $0 for projects that interest you. Everyone has the right to refuse offers.

Hi Brian! I notice you have 27 members for your FB page now, so obviously some interest. I think it's a great idea and could see that someone without production skills or kit or band would jump at a AUS$100 fee to hear their song arranged and produced.
It leads me to some questions ... - You mentioned the customer would phone record or send a recorded demo - the question is whether this is enough to provide the BIAB producer with tempo, genre (style), song structure etc, soloing options, texture/song layering, rests/stops. I am thinking a one page questionnaire might help the customer specify what they want? - In terms of style selection, maybe the customer could specify 'Sounds like [artist/song]'? - In addition to style selection, instrumentation choices might be applicable - or for such a low fee, are the terms the customer accepts the standard instrumentation? - To aid the above, it would be easy enough to input a few of the chords into A and B section with (say) up to 4 styles demo'd into small mp3 samples for the customer to choose from - minimising the upfront effort and getting the style right. - the fixed fee would need to specify how much 'back and forth' would be tolerated (if any) before additional fee(s) were applicable? - Inviting customer testimonials to the FB page, and diplomatically/fairly moderating 'product reviews'.
I guess the above questions are along the line of 'what the customer expected vs what the producer delivered' and avoiding any misunderstandings.
All in all, a fantastic idea and it will be interesting to see how it takes off.
Hi Andrew. I really appreciate your input. I agree with your idea of a basic form to bring the producers and clients closer together with the vision of the end result. I will think about what sort of form might help bring about a mutually beneficial understanding of the expected result. Your input is very insightful and I hope you might work with me to refine the idea. Warm regards, Brian.

Thanks Brian - to be honest, I have enough of my own back catalogue of songs before I go helping anyone else. However, if you want me to expand on content for BIAB Accompaniment Request form, I am happy to put some thoughts together if you think it would be useful.
Hi Andrew. Thanks for your response. Any ideas or suggestions are very welcome. As they say two heads are better than one. Respect, Brian.
