A remix of the first of two instrumental versions of a song I wrote in 1981, the subtitle "Night Turns Into Gold" coming from the song's lyrics. The remixed "V2" was posted late last December.

Piano: Country Pop Ballad Solo Acoustic - John Jarvis
Organ: Country Rock Guitar Solo, Pop Ba - Gene Rabbai
Bass: 3 Guitar Country Rock ~ Tobin Frank
Drums: ditto ~ Brian Fullen
Strummed Acoustic Guitar: ditto ~ Tony King
Finger-picked Acoustic Guitar: ditto ~ Jason Roller
Electric Guitar: ditto ~ Mike Durham
Tenor Sax Solo: Slow County Pop w/ Tenor Solo ~ Mark Douthit
Guitar solo: Modern Groove Soloist, Brit Rock - Dave Cleveland

92 bars; 4/4, Am; tempo 100; Time 3:50

Chay,

Great remix. Love the guitars and that organ really punches through. Some great layers here.

Excellent!

Chay, nicely done. Like the slow build and solo development. Very clear mix. Great job!

Heard this on YT yesterday. Thought I left a comment, but... guess I'm good at typing but not pushing the SEND button. I AM good at pushing pplay, and I'm always pleased pushing it on your tunes, Chay --hah whether I tell ya or not. Man, that sax is so good, and I always like how you pass the lead baton around the room like in all the best jam sessions.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanks, Marty. I also occasionally leave a comment and then forget to send it, but I also find I go to posts I think are new and then find I've already listened and left a comment! Definitely connected to old age.

Chay,

Sounds very good to these old ears. I love it when a song builds as the layers stack. The organ rounds out the stage soundscape.

Nicely done - as always.

Thanks Alan. Yes, in BiaB the organ defaults to extreme right regardless of which Style one takes the sample from, though I always prefer it to left. Shifting the channel bias either way doesn't make a lot of difference, so the only way to reposition it is to load 2 identical samples, 1 with channels reversed, then save it as single stem file to centre it, after which one can adjust the channel bias more effectively. I've just had to do that with a guitar solo on a new instrumental as BiaB defaults it too far to the right.

Thanks, Beth! When I play this in my A Playlist it has to be the penultimate track as it flows so well with the final track, my favourite and both are so relaxing. I'll post the latter instrumental in 7-10 days; then my 3rd favourite, which precedes these in my A list, I'll post in a couple of hours, though it's not yet on SoundCloud.

Great build and that is one of the better uses of a RT organ that we have heard.

Thanks for the listen and the feedback, J&B! I've only just looked up Kali speakers and it's the first time I've seen speakers sold individually and not in pairs. Even their cheapest aren't cheap! I've always used Bose despite having heard better, but while they're great for my headphones I've never been able to get an equalizer setting that makes the speakers themselves sound as I want them. I'm horribly aware that others listening to my posts hear them better quality than I do! By crikey, that's just not British! laugh
