Once again a well mixed track. I had to smile listening to Dave letting rip. Good one.
Vic Thanks, Vic. It's fun listening to Dave roll his talent through a song. I always like Am Blues progressions. This works on all levels. Great leads. lyrics, and production. Thanks, Elliott. Dave works on all keys, too. Don't think I ever met a guitarist who thinks Gb is no problem. Marty,
Any time I need to get unbored, I look you up for some uplifting music.
And you deliver.
Yummy bass. Dave is In.The.Pocket.
Good vocal. Solid mix.
I ain't bored no more.
fj HAHA. Glad we could help, Floyd, although I can't imagine someone with so much creative talent ever being bored. Thanks so much, sir. Inventive title and an interesting puzzle built around it. Positive blues, I don't know how you manage to do it again, but this song delivers euphoria with minor chords Sweet and smooth melody combined with Dave's amazing virtuosity creates a masterpiece that completely unbores me. Great vocals with nice little nuances and the rich bass playing satisfies every soul. Yep, one of the best songs on your new album Now I can go to bed and sleep without worries Janne Thanks a ton, Janne. Yeah, minor chords are often associated with sadness, mystery, or fear I guess, but Blues always allows for a good dose of euphoria. Hey, seriously, man, thanks so much for actually listening to my albums.

What DCRon said sums it up well We'll add our love of your mischievous vocal and its rich timbre.
Dave's scorching guitar is standout as is your low end and the BiaB session guys (nice organ).
Great write and what a wonderful line: “Satisfy you soul and bring it out to play”
The mix sets up an impressive soundstage on the Kalis. And as always your video is very supportive of the lyric and the vibe.
FUN!!!

Nice job on some blues.
I like that smoking tone.

Another Marty Party! Unique and simply smooth. Great guitar playing BA. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is your genre, Marty!
Dewey Thanks, Dewey. Thanks for accepting the invitation. Lots of heavy duty drive in this production. Thank you, AT. Always good to see you, sir. What DCRon said sums it up well We'll add our love of your mischievous vocal and its rich timbre.

J&B Thanks, J&B. You guys obviously know how to fill in any boring transition. Not sure of the Kalis reference though. Ya mean double-edged meaning, like a double entendre. If so, cool way to say it. Nice job on some blues.
I like that smoking tone. Thanks, Herb. Man, he can play, huh?

Great message. I got to tell you, I am never bored. Truly. That spicy guitar never gets boring either. I hear a bit of Sir Paul in the bass.

Your songs are compelling, Marty. I press "Play", and am glued to the sound. LOVE your vocal performance, here - one of your best, I think. Dave Bell NAILS his soli, as always. Love the message of the song ... congrats. Another one nailed

Excellent tune Marty. Loved the vocal and lyric. Loved how you set the groove with your basslines. Daves guitar was smokin....

I can't remember the last time I was bored, so your song is not for me. But I'm always there when there's a good blues, and this really is one. You and Dave are always a safe bet, I love everything you do. Great work from you both. Now I'm off to watch the lawn grow. Or watch the paint dry

Ezekiel Scott, whoa watch out with the SIr Paul reference. I think I've played every bassline he did, but, man, the stuff he adds to a song is unmatchable. Man, I'm with ya on the never bored. Happy for ya, Scott. James, thanks. Yeah Dave is the real deal for sure, and I like your Latin plural for "solo" (hehe); he NAILS every solo he does. Scott C, thanks for all of your support. Hey, and thanks for noticing the bass. Yeah, Dave reminds me of the Balushi riff in I Don't Know: "I gave up cigarettes, but I didin't give up smokin'." Thanks, Brain. Dave is always a safe bet, but the odds of liking what he plays are 1 to 1, so the real payoff is in the listening. Thanks for that, too.

First of all, killer work on the guitar and bass Marty& Dave! Marty you are always such a positive guy sharing warm vibes to everyone and it comes shining through here! That solo Dave played is one of his best and that's saying a lot! Enjoyed the subtle little nuances of the vocal delivery Marty! Love you guys! TB

How did I miss this one? Glad it got bumped. First off, there needs to be an online museum called The Song Titles of Marty Straub. Really clever stuff. Second, your vox and Dave's guitar were fire (as the kids say). Third, I agree about bluesy stuff suiting you, I think you should do more along those lines. Maybe a slow Stormy Monday-styled tune. BIAB has some great RTs for that. Great work, Marty!

Nice to hear your voice again, Marty. I've not been on the forum in several weeks. There's a movie with Tom Hanks...the Wonders, I think. The band leader writes a ballad and the band keeps playing it upbeat and he keeps saying, "it's a ballad!" I kind of wonder what this one would sound like with more energy.
