This is a version of Pachelbel's Canon that I entered in a Latin style (Bolero) in the middle I added chord changes to introduce modulations. There is a realtrack solist of tin whistle that I modified into a playable track so that it sticks to what I wanted and a solo track of saxophone that I did not modify.

I have always loved Pachelbel's Canon in D and often sneak this chord progression into my own songs. Nice interpretation of the classic. Some of the chord changes don't fit perfectly with the main melody, but it's still a nice song to listen to.
Cool experimental piece. Guess this is in the public domain, right? Ha! The concept of making your own playable RT from an audio RT is interesting and innovative. Love the ambience on your background instruments. Found most of the song achingly beautiful, but a few passages took some harmonic risks that didn't work for me. Blame that on me though. After all, what is art without taking chances? Love your tune.

You've created a lovely sounding track here with wonderful imagery in the video! You did a great job editing that tin whistle track! Another very good piece of music from you!

Thank you B.D Thomas for listening and for your comments. Laurent
Excellent rendition of a classic classic, particularly the use of the strings. My only criticism is that for me the stints of whittle and sax are too brief, though I would have probably only used the sax.
Some favourite Waoist Adages: #1: Play on the Way. #13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you. #58: Bring consciousness to it. #63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made. #92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.
So creative—great payoff for taking risks. IMHO—I wouldn’t have done the modulating sections. I think it break the hypnotic mood of the main phrase. Your ending riff hit a very nice maj7 tone..not sure if I detected more maj7 feel throughout, but that might be an idea to pursue. I don’t understand exactly what you did with the RT to playable, but I’m going to dig into that. Again, great idea to “play around” with so,pleasing and well-loved theme—glad I tuned in!

Pachebel's Canon in D is my favorite tune for weddings. Yet wasn't it written soon after his wife and daughter were killed in a carriage accident? (Remember reading that on a album jacket). WOW, Laurent, this is the most engaging version I've ever heard. How you interplay the instruments and give the song a bit of an upbeat twist is fabulous. That sax is killer. The Ai shepards sometimes look rather angry, and I'll never understand its Latin translations. Seriously, Laurent, this is quite amazing. Just started a new YT Playlist so I can quickly find this in the future.
Laurent, you have taken BiaB to the farthest point in a classical genre that I have ever heard - brilliant. This is outstanding. Great work on the strings and tin whistle. That choir was icing on the cake I thought that the sax might detract from this masterpiece but I was totally wrong. You made it fit perfectly. An outstanding piece of music that I loved.
When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"

Thanks D.C Ron for the comments. Yes I took risks because I wanted to mix genres. Laurent

Thanks Marty, AI doesn't understand anything about Latin and that's why we don't understand anything about it, but it sounds nice and scholarly. Laurent

Very cool. There are a couple of jumpy transitions in the intro piano I'd address. The forward strings in the passage ending 1.50 could use some softening with reverb as they are strident and seem stiff against the backing. I enjoyed everything but the sax solo - that was a bit too far for me. Great arrangement & stacking.

Nice work, Laurent. I always applaud experimentation, how would music evolve if we don't get bold once in a while? I listened twice, the second time my brain settled into the sax better. Overall, quite a good effort, I enjoyed it.
