Hi Dave and Marty,
A cool song, with -in a way- disturbing lyrics, or a disturbing train, I might call it.
Wonderful solo, a solid bass play and good vocals, so, very entertaining!

You and Kathy hit the nail on the head with your lyric for the world these days.
That last line below really summed it up good:
“Runaway train heading off the track, What we had we ain’t ever getting back”
Just gotta think of what Ghandi said, "When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won.
There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall."
Love your guitar parts and Marty’s rock solid bass
The smoky vocals fit so well with the smoking train.
Great mix ... love those snappy drums.
And the train video nails the narrative.

Love the guitar riff. Sounds like you were quite meticulous the the drum track. You nailed the lyrics. "Runaway train can't slow down" Yup, the brakes are shot. Great song.

Sad lyrics, but great songwriting, "When did life become this speeding train/Everyday the more speed we gain/Can't last forever, just do the math/How do we get on a slower path?" so true and according to my math it is not possible without a huge crash.
Your pleasant dark voice interprets the message with emotion and pain.
Enjoyed the arrangement, the piano and the drums create very nice modern bluesy feel. Your heavenly guitar cries at its most beautiful and Marty's solid bass keep the musical train rolling steadily and peacefully, I'll take your train instead of the runaway train.

A bold reflection of what we unfortunately witnessing these days. Saddest part is that so many people refuse to see this or simply can't draw historical or even modern day parallels. Solid lyrics. Guitars are absolutely stunning. Marty's bass has a perfect space in the mix and sounds great. Thank you for sharing.
