You're talking about micro chords, all on the beat.
The problem I'm talking about is that I find that when I bring some chords forward 1/8, they don't sound good....
Question: How did you "bring some chords forward 1/8"? What technique did you use?
Microchords are not 'all on the beat'. If the time signature is 4/4, then there are 4 beats to the bar, and each beat is worth one one quarter note. Yes? Micro-chords should allow you to position a chord at any one of 16 locations on a bar with a 4/4 time signature. Granted, the results might not always be ideal.

Pay attention to the piano generated by BIAB, the sound is not very stable. Pay attention to the guitar generated by BIAB, 1/8 in advance, the syncopated guitar is not a continuous strum.
