Hi, Ray. Upbeat and snappy. Fun listen. Janice sounds great (as always) and you're really making the slide guitar player earn their money!

I think everyone loves a good shuffle. Great vocal and I especially like the cool walk down turnaround at the end of the verses. Quite unique changes. Good job to all!

Nicely crafted song, expertly performed. Super vocals (of course) and that bass is crazy fun. Like the band a lot. Very cool outro, too. Mix is great and Janice cuts through perfectly. Hats off to all!

That's a cool song that immediately has me tapping my feet, and Janice and the slide set the right direction. The bass sounds good and perfect for the rest of the band, so who cares about the frets above the 5th Could it be that the lack of frets influenced the choice of chords? At some points, my ears were expecting an old-school Rock'n'Roll progression (which I think would have given the song even more drive), but it didn't happen. But, nonetheless, I really enjoyed listening to the song. Twice! This is the good stuff ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif)

Yes. A real toe tapping rhythm. Great vocal as usual. To my ears the drums play over some of the other tracks and at times I couldn't hear the bass.

Ray & J&B,
What a great arrangement! Janice really Gives this romping tune a smooth gliding sound with a perfectly delivered vocal! Ray, per your description, the bass may be near the end of the road but, sounds awesome to me! I feel this is the best bass work I've heard from you! Lines played and tone are wonderful! Great final touches by Bud!
Take care, TB

Yeow, what a fun tune. Dang, Janice, you have an amazing voice and in this one you bring in a new character -so to speak. Love the groove, and did I mention how goood that vocal is? Outstanding, Ray. OH, YEAH! you "got away with it" cuz you definitely have a way with it, Ray. Those flatwounds was the perfect choice. Wow, what an ending to a great song. LOVE IT!! Bud, you are surely the master of mastering.

Ray, Janice & Bud,
Great, great song and lyrics. Love the vocal by Janice. No one sings like she does!
That Emperador bass sounds awesome. A very cool guitar.
The production is stellar. A big, clear & present mix as only Bud can do.
Loved it!

Great country boogie! Janice's vocals are 100% perfect for this song. And that multi-instrumentalist Bandhi guy can really play! Love that instrumental break. Perfect mix, too.

No, the chords were determined by my brain & guitar before BIAB and quite a bit before I decided to add bass. The choice of the old bass & flats was a last minute thing. You'll find the fairly trad boogie/rock n roll bass in the verses and the last chorus I think. It's there but doesn't seem obvious - possibly the tempo?
