I am a long time BIAB user, but never on Mac. My studio is PC based, but I now want ot practice sax in another studio whixh has no WIFI and no other BIAB resources. I want to use either my Ipad or my old Iphone SE.
What I would like to be able to use and create BIAB tracks in this setting but I currently do not understand how it works using the server function.
There are a lot of real tracks probably far to many for the app to store on either an ipad or a phone. I suppose this is why there is a server? When you create a song does it store the relevant real tracks on the iphone or Ipad permanently or does the app call the track from the server each time the song is generated? Are their options that I should be aware of?

Thank you
Z

There is no manual for the app. +++ The Support Webpage +++ has some additional videos and a notated screen shot that details the available features.

If you have specific questions you can ask Tim with PG Music in the iOS forum section.

My understanding is PG Music maintains RealTracks on one of their web servers. When there is a need for a RealTrack generation the generation occurs on their web server and the generated RealTrack is pushed to the app. This means you should not be constrained by device memory or storage limitations.

I'm also in that particular forum, or our tech support team is available through our online chat or at support@pgmusic.com

This is correct - all Realtrack generation is handled by the server. If there is no internet connection, then MIDI styles can be used instead.

Suppose a Song is generated within wifi range and then is saved. If then the track is taken to an area where no wifi is available, does it play there with real tracks, until such time as it is regenerated?

Someone will know more, but I believe that the answer is yes. The generated audio of the song will be downloaded back to the iOS device, and will be available, even if network connectivity is lost.

That is correct - it saves the audio as an M4A file and plays that.

Ok, so as i understand it, if i were to create a series of songs (say cycles, ii V 1s etc) and save them whilst I was in wifi range, then at a future point take them all to the studio where I practice sax, then they woud all work?

Is there a download limit for realtrack renders, on Ipad or Iphone?

At the moment no, however that will likely change at some point in the future.
