Thanks, Vic. Re YouTube it's similar to self-publishing on Amazon. In both one's works are essentially the same as needles in a haystack as there are so many millions of titles on the sites. In order to get noticed on Amazon one first needs a lot of reviews, which are important as sales figures while the YT parallel is also getting 'like's and comments. One can only promote music or books via social media, but the way algorithms work, all of which seem dysfunctional, even tagging posts doesn't have much effect as not everyone tagged will actually receive a notification of it.
