Bob and Joliz, gorgeous song, gorgeously performed. Love the arrangement, and that D-18 sounds great again. I always feel like I'm eavesdropping on a private conversation when I listen to one of your songs, which isn't as creepy as it sounds.

Sensational song, Bob & Joliz. Bob, I always like you vocal, but Joliz seems to make you even better. Love the melody to this one and that piano and subtle strings. But most of all is the singing. You write in such wonderful stories that make me feel like --yeah, I've been there, or at least wish I was.

We can certainly relate to the lyric. Listening to music is such a huge part of both of our lives and always has been. We love this: “Ribbon on a reel My life in sound” You and Joliz sound exceptionally good together on this song. We enjoyed hearing your guitar in the excellent mix and band choice. And that is really a nice piano track. (BTW Janice loves her old ’18 ) We still have our mixtapes and mix cd’s although we rarely listen to them now. The song title alone won me over before I'd heard a single note. Loved the lyrics. Lots of opinions on the vox, my take is that Joliz cuts through the mix better than you do. I'd like to see you raise your vox a few db to make up for it. Still a great track!

Bob, that's a really great idea for a song, something that applies to everyone (well, except probably me, because there's no tape in my house except duct tape  ), and after some googling I found all your references too. You create a nice nostalgic mood. I'm not sure if having Joliz sing the whole song in unison is the best choice. I think her either singing harmonies and/or only singing every other line to emphasize them would give her part more impact and create some contrast. Lovely nostalgic lyric. Although not artists of my generation, I still enjoyed it, the music and those mentioned artists really speak of your life Pleasant dueting, the melody and the chord progression are really touching.
