The Missing LinkThis song was almost finished in 2017, it was just missing couple of lines... It took me 7 years to find it buried under other songs and finally finish it. But then I almost forgot to release it... maybe I should have left it buried and get fossilized... I really like the rock sound BIAB provided, but I'm not sure whether the lyrics about the evolution of love make enough sense. But I trust that you find something nice to say about the song RealDrums: RockThrashHalfTimeEv16^1 Loop: Drums_Hybrid_4x4KickA RealTracks: #2755:Bass, Electric, RockHeavy16thsDoug Ev16 090 #2759:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm RockHeavy16thsLowMurray Ev16 090 #3299:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockThrash12-key Ev 085 #4577:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopGlowHeldPlus ev16 065 #4465:Guitar, Electric, Soloist BroCountryRock16ths Ev16 085 #3182:Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm GrungeUnpluggedQuinn Ev16 090 #1861:Synth, Rhythm, EuroDance ChorusHousePianoOffBeat Ev16 120 #673:Organ, B3, Background Blues BB Ev 085 Vocals: Synthesizer V Kevin & Sheena (lead), Saros & Natalie (harmonies) Mixed in Cakewalk by BandLab (Neutron 4, Nectar 4, Ozone 11, Neoverb, Sonitus Delay) Lyrics: This is not a perfect match we are both so incomplete we come from different worlds we are born to be discrete. All those hundred generations carried the genes of hearts now it is our precious chance to pursue one missing part. If we don't have fire a bond that's physical then connect the minds in art refine the animal. I want to be more than a curiosity in this love's evolution find the link from you to me an intermediate blending our differences merge into one whole these entities. The requirements for a spouse to be flawless and ideal the dream of cutting-edge dates no-one ever makes it real. Build the bridge across the gulf of glaring disparity we should have a halfway lunch at the lounge of fragility. I'll ignore your vices in deeply rooted acts maybe you won't see that I am tame and missing tact. [Chorus] Maybe after million years we'll be fossils in the ice we'll be an evident proof gods didn't play the dice. We had found a common tongue discussing of how we feel we had learned to work together to turn the heavy wheel. Like a long spaghetti we had eaten up the gap we had tied the loose ends up on our bridal lap. [Chorus] ---------------------------- Janne

Hi Janne! That made me wanna get up and dance, or at least choreographed shaking! I loved the blend of male main vocal and the female harmony - obviously very appropriate for this content - lots of metaphors in that theme to explore as well. The chords you used in the progression had a ‘let’s keep this going’ feel to them, obviously coupled with beat, and it made me think about development and progression of life evolving to higher forms.
As I sat back with eyes closed, I thought the last line of the chorus I was hearing was ‘Merge in to one hole, these empty tears’. Ha! Mondegreen.

Hi, Janne. Cool - I'm getting a Devo vibe on the verse. Interesting lyrics!

Janne, very BIG with a majestic feel. Neatly unique topic, very nicely developed. Driving chord progression with some nice surprises. Cool chugging guitars, and the instrumental passage sounds great, as do each of the guitar solos. I can't help it, those big Synth V voices make me think of a show tune, but what a show it is! I'd buy a ticket for sure! Very big mix, and nicely mastered. Not sure about the skeletal couple graphic. If this ties the lyric to zombie love or love after death or something similar, that's pretty far out there. But kinda cool.

Lyrics don't have to make perfect sense...if they convey a message or a feeling then they're spot on. Cool music & arrangement. The vocals snyths make the song sound a little M.O.R. but the song rocks when it can.

Well produced track…great handling of the synth voices, and I liked the overall mix.
I agree with Ray..lyrics don’t have to make sense, altho it always seems like a wasted opportunity to not try to make them say something understandable. I didn’t think the lyric matched your normal work..I don’t think “spaghetti” belongs in any song..
But much to be appreciated anyway. Thanks for going back to retrieve this lost child!

I liked this a lot. I had no problems with the lyrics except for some prosody issues here and there: you're really making Synth V work for its pay. This song featured your usual esoteric creativity and was quite catchy in a very good way. Definitely worth resurrecting. Nice job!

Thanks Andrew for your very positive feedback I like the thought about "progression of life evolving to higher forms." ...which is full of trials and errors. And that "one hole" could be another failure on that path, but luckily in this case it is one whole Janne

Janne,
That's a very cool song and was definitely worth finishing. I really like what you have done with the arrangement and the Synth V voices. Some nice production choices.
Great stuff!

Excellent vocals singing outstanding lyrics, but they should be more up front. Oh, this is so good. So glad you found it and finished it. I like the arrangment and that guitar solo was a good touch. Janne, I really enjoy your lyrics. I get what you're saying about the missing link. Sometimes those links can be reconnected with the strong magnitism of love and melded together with the heat of passion.

Janne, I really liked this It does have a Devo vibe to it and that is a good thing Good work with those synth voices I found nothing wrong with those lyrics, they made sense to me Great backing band and mix A super song.

Nice job. The synth V vocals work well. I just purchased Synth V and am looking forward to finishing some songs. I really appreciate how much work it takes to get synth vocals to sound good as I worked with Vocaloid in the past, but Synth V seems a bit easier.

Hi Janne,
I listened 4 times to your song. It's intriguing, in the way your AI-personell sing it, the lyrics and the music itself. And intriguing means; very interesting, good, nice, creative. Maybe it means more, but for now it's enough. The vocals are very good. To me it seems a lot of work to let them sing so rapidly while sounding so nice. The song itself has something of a musical-song. Especially in the choruses. That makes it cheerful, while also a bit sad. I have translated your lyrics, because I couldn't get everything that was sung. They are wonderful and complicated at the same time! And another thing; I didn't think this was a song of yours. It's really different, but the way I started my text; intriguing.
Hans

That rocks. Could use a little more bottom but it gets it done.

Thanks DC for your detailed and positive review You are an expert in chugging guitars, so I really value your opinion. I'll send you the tickets when the show is coming near you The skeletal graphic of course depicts that married couple who died happily together and were found fossilized after a million years Janne

Thanks Ray, I appreciate your kind comment I tried to give the song a lighter feeling with younger sounding voices. Janne

I love the big sound you have created here, Janne, guitars sound great, all of them.
Nice vocals too, I liked blend of the two voices, and an interesting write as per usual.
Good stuff!

I like the heavier rock aspect of this, especially the guitars. I'm not sure I understand the simile "like long spaghetti" but is sounds cool.
