ASIOforall should not have anything to do with the issue. ASIOforall is a "generic" audio driver and has nothing to do with MIDI.

When you selected the audio mixer "seeing eye" were you able to select the THRU channel for display in the audio mixer?

I noticed in your first screen shot above you have the Cakewalk TTS-1 selected as the Synthsizer\Sound Card and your VSTi|DXi Synth Setting is Cakewalk TTS-1. Try not checking the "Route MIDI THRU to MIDI Driver.

What is the VST MIDI Synth (Port A) and VST MIDI Synth (Port B) displayed in the MIDI Output Driver text box? You do not have a MIDI Output Driver selected.
