WHEW!!! Thank you so much. Yes, I could get my serial number there. Never thought of that. Then the activation widow had me delete the contents of C:\Users\Public\Ticket where there were all sorts of serial numbers etc. from previous purchases and versions. Felt weird to delete all of that, but it did the trick.
