When you install BIAB and the BIAB plugin, one of the last installation screens lets you install the BIAB plugin to a number of various default plugin locations. This list presented to you is a good place to start for looking for installed plugins. You can move VST plugins to a folder of your choice, if you wish, and then scan from that location. Just be careful to separate out 32-bit vs 64-bit plugins.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
