I believe referring to the fact that the desktop version ships with a drive if Audiophile; drive is optional with other versions. Of course, we know that one can use the drive or load everything into the Mac or PC.

This is not the case with the iPadOS version. Like you, I believe that this is an add-on to the desktop version and not a replacement.
