Hi, guys...have tried stem splitter and lalai, can't separate the bell from a mix, and need it (don't ask..) for another....anyone with the chops to manage it? Very small 1.55 mb wav file, can make it mp3 if required..

Any assistance greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Not sure that it will be straightforward with the stem splitter. It separates into bass, drums, guitar/piano, vocals & residual.
The bell frequency might wind up with the guitar/piano track, or maybe residual.

Other after-market products (including online) might be worth exploring too.

Hello Dolan

If you have access to StudioOne or Cakewalk, and Melodyne plugin, use "edit with Melodyne" and ensure the mode is Polyphonic Sustained.

In the section with the bell (or if it's throughout the entire piece), find the "blob" up high on the "keyboard" display and select every blob that is the "bell" sound and click delete on your keyboard.

Then bounce your finished Melodyne edit to a new track, and they should be gone... it's not perfect, but should be close.

I'm not sure that the O/P wanted to 'delete' the bell, but rather to 'extract' it so that it could be used elsewhere. At least that was my interpretation.

Mine also. But a slight variation to lbolen's post should work. After you find the bell sound via Melodyne delete everything else and save the remaining bell sound. Be sure to use a backup file just in case this doesn't work perfectly.

Finally I know that Studio One comes with the mono version of Melodyne so they may have to purchase a poly version. I'm not sure about Cakewalk's Melodyne version so someone less will have to confirm that.

My momma didn't raise a fool. And if she did it, was one of my brothers.
