But... sometimes you want to hear someone sing on the song. I guess I crave that, because I love singing.

Thanks, Hans! I have 4 to be sung songs already planned - I already have the music tracks sorted - and if I ever get the opportunity record vocals I'll be doing them. See my reply to Beth on your "That Flame" thread as she'd be perfect for a new song I've written called "Flying Forties" with a big band backing. My problem is that I now live in a retirement flat which is only separated from my older neighbour's flat by thin plasterboard walls, so only on the very rare occasion she's out and I'm free do I ever have the opportunity to play guitar or sing. All music I listen to, plus also watching TV, I have to use headphones.
