I listen to both versions and find that the cello fits the general mood of the song much better.

I'm late to the party, as I am to so many other parties on the site, but Di is struggling significantly, so most of my time is with her.
This is really gorgeous! That cello is so clear and has a beautiful tone.
You should be proud of this version. Gorgeous!

the cello is cool though the lower notes tend to bloom and spread so may need some compression to contain them.
Live or in a room this would be a plus but with headphones it has an odd impact rather like a performer swaying between stereo mics.
