What build version of BIAB are you using? You can find this by going to Help > About Band-in-a-Box. Also, are you using the main BIAB program or the plugin?

I too would take the simplest device possible. Outside of BIAB itself, there are a ton of factors with computers that can cause issues that you really don't want to be troubleshooting at the start of your gig.

I agree. Another possible method to repair a corrupted song is to copy and paste the chordsheet into a new song. This doesn't bring over any MIDI or audio, however those can be saved separately then imported into the new song. This can also help tell you what part of the song was corrupted - if the song stops working after importing the MIDI, there ya go.
