My 2nd new instrumental and video of the year, "Venus Rides", the chord structure adapted from one of the first 5 instrumentals I created in BiaB, but never posted here, "Venus Dreaming". I added more chords and upped the tempo so I could use both BiaB charango and vihuela samples for the first time. In the video Venus rides a stag she borrowed from Diana (Tana to the Etruscans!), though a stag was all I could use as while I have 2 3D modelling horse assets both are malfunctioning and won't pose correctly.

Cast in order of appearance:
Drums: Nashville Radio Power Ballad ~ Miles McPherson
Bass: Country Rocks Guitar Solo, Pop Ba - Tobin Frank
Warm Pad: Enya Warm Pad & Strings ~ uncredited
Synth Pad: Circle Ambient Lap Steel ~ Blair Masters
Charango: Andes Huayno Quartet w A-B Bass ~ Ramon Stagnaro
Vihuela: Draw Low Key Western ~ Ramon Stagnaro
Marimba: Key Island Groove Quartet ~ Todd London
Kalimba: World Beat 2 South African Dance ~ uncredited
Piano Solo: Giggle Rumba Pop Ac Piano Solo ~ Jeff Young
Organ: Country Rock Guitar Solo, Pop Ba - Gene Rabbai
Organ Solo: Scroll Funky Blues Organ ~ Charles Treadway
Rhythm Guitar1: Country Rock Guitar Solo Pop Band ~ Darin Favorite
Rhythm Guitar2: Nashville Radio Power Ballad ~ Danny Rader
Fiddle Solo: Country Even 16ths Fiddle Soloist ~ Rob Hajacos
Rhythm Guitar3:Centaur Guitar Solo Hard Rock, Bal ~ Darin Favorite
Rhythm Guitar4: Centaur Guitar Solo Hard Rock, Bal ~ Murray Atkinson
1st Guitar Solo: Heliotrope Hazy Rock Soloist ~ Mike Durham
2nd Guitar Solo: Nashville Radio Power Ballad ~ Danny Rader
SFX: I can't recall which site I got it from.

G / 115 bpm / 144 bars / Time: 5:11

Chay,

That's an excellent instrumental. You always have lots of layered sounds with a great mix. Love the organ and that outro guitar. Very cool video as well.

Hi Chay.

This is a very satisfying musical journey.
I really enjoyed the way you developed this instrumental.
You're a very skillful arranger and you lead the listener along in a way that is filled with lots tasteful musical surprises.
From start to finish, I was with you all the way.

Chay, very cool. Has your signature sound but adds a few twists I haven't heard before. The fiddle was an inspired choice. Also thought the Hispanic(?) instruments worked well. The galloping at the end was fun, too. Think the stag in lieu of a horse actually works well as it's more fantastical and completely in keeping with your universe. Nicely done!

Thanks, Bob! Finding the right solo to end any instrumental with is always a challenge as it has to be the climax of the piece. I now have around 60 styles with guitar solos in my BiaB favourites as I keep on finding new ones - 3 years ago I wouldn't have believed there were that many, but there's probably over 100 now. Most I've never used, but I always have to try out as many as I can in order to find the right one, though regardless of the 'style/genre' I'm trying I already know some which definitely won't work.

Thanks, Ron. I agree about the stag, so in a way I was lucky to not be able to get my 3D horses to pose correctly. My laptop is used purely for 3D modelling, but I've had to uninstall so many things - props, poses, animals, environments, etc - due to lack of space that sometimes I'll unknowingly uninstall an asset which links to others I still have installed and so when I try to use them they don't work as they should. One of my horse assets always poses with it's tail totally upright, when the tail alone is supposed to have at least 4 divisions which can be angled in various ways to fit given poses, but unlike me aged 74 it's always erect! laugh

Your arrangements are always great from both a technical and musical perspective.
The number of tracks is remarkable and the way you build them is also.
The appearance of the fiddle was quite dramatic.

Cool video also!

Thanks J&B. I was surprised at "The appearance of the fiddle was quite dramatic" - though I may not know exactly what you mean - as the organ solo and particularly the 1st guitar solo come in with more of a punch.

Chay, you always amaze me with your mixing skills.
You always pick the right RTs for your compositions.
IMHO this your best to date.
Loved it

Thanks Mario! It's another instrumental I'm very pleased with, though there area few I like more, but what's surprised me is that it's had the lowest YouTube view counts of anything I've posted in the last 6 months, while another much simpler track has had 4 times my average. Vowing figures are always baffling.
