Mario, you reminded me of the times living in a smaller town where the only place that the real players could stretch out was the local hotel lounge..usually wasn’t very crowded, but the small-town jazz masters were really good, just no high profile venue. Thanks for “painting” this late-night memory. Thanx Tom. A number of years ago we had a few jazz lounges around here. Unfortunately they no long exist. In fact there are very few live music places left and those that do don't pay a lot to play there. Karaoke and DJs have taken over.
I think my wife has started to show the first signs of dementia.
She said she can't remember what she ever saw in me!

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
