Chloe! Chloe!
An old school video featuring Janice shot with my iPhone and a few public domain clips added. We sought out locations that we hope support the dark lyrics until the last uplifting hopeful verse. Admittedly there are, unlike most vids, no short multiple clip changes, etc. Why? Well, Janice enjoys “play acting” the few vids we create and it’s all just for fun.

I (Bud) am biased to max but I think the girl’s looking fine at 67 with almost no grey hair. 😀 Hey, there’s even a glance of Peter and his Les Paul. So even if you are not fond of music vids we still hope you might find it of some interest. Thank you for your time and comments are always welcome.

Song info (recap of audio post):
We (Janice, Bud & Peter) found an interesting image of a piece of 1920’s public domain sheet music. The lyric was hugely different from the typical 1920’s blues/jazz of the era, i.e, not a “mama misses you papa, please come home” thing.😀 Rather it was dark and moody. It’s been very rarely recorded with a vocal and most often as a bouncy 1920’s jazz instrumental. So with big help from Peter we put together an arrangement using two keys, a Janice melody and some lyric tweaking.

Janice: lead and BGVs > RODE NT1 > Scarlett interface > Izotope Nectar (reverb, delay, light compression)
Peter: solo and fills guitar > whatever he does
Bud: mix, mastering, etc.
Piano: MIDI SuperTrack 2845 > Logic Pro Studio Grand > Ozone 11 imager > Waves CLA Unplugged
Guitar Rhythm: RealTrack 565 > Logic Pro EQ > Waves Magma BB T
Bass: RealTrack 534 > Izotope
RX De-click > Waves Bass Rider > Logic
ChromaGlow
Drums: RealDrums PopRockShuffle > Waves CLA Drums
Snare: (from above kit) > Waves Magma BB T > Ozone Impact > Neutron > Logic ChromaVerb
Cymbals: (from above kit)
Wind: Pixabay royalty free

Mastering via reference song and tweaking: Ozone modules EQ > Stabilizer >
Impact > Imager > Dynamic EQ > Maximizer > Izotope Tonal Balance > Logic Loudness Meter
