Personally, I've never been able to get ASIO4ALL to work on any computer I've owned.

As has been pointed out, A4A is NOT a true ASIO driver and it's simply a wrapper to try to fool your computer software into thinking it's working with ASIO.

The better solution is to eventually purchase an interface that can run "true" or "Native" (real) ASIO and not rely on the consumer sound drivers (MME, wrappers, and codecs) for recording and playback.
