On the.musical side—realizing that this has been ‘in the can’ for a long time—I’d have started the first verse with a simple piano solo backing, then swung into more of the full ensemble. Sort of building up the sound wall as it moves along. None the less, timeless message…thanks for “resurrecting” it for this special season! The country feel this has gives it a distinct touch. I think I would have liked a little bit of harmony on the chorus (or BGVs of some sort), particularly at least on the later chorus, but that’s an artistic choice. Well done! Deej

Like the modulation and the switching out of instruments. A song this long really needs that kind of variety and dynamic flow to create interest. As Deej notes, more wouldn't hurt.
