Can someone give a quick idea what "Transpose Artist performances by XX semitones" in Song Settings is all about ? I understand transposing a song into a different key by why just a specific artist performance?
Artist Performance Files are a form of BIAB UserTracks and attached is a screen shot of how they are described by PG Music staff.
Although Artist Performance Files are user made and a copy is saved in an audio format such as wav, mp3, m4a, these files are internally formatted to integrate into the BIAB program with a proprietary method exclusive to BIAB . This is a very powerful feature and tool that aids in BIAB's ability to do advanced and complex tasks.
User made audio tracks may need tuning adjustments to align and sync with BIAB RealTracks in a project.

Artist Performances are simply wav files that are played on a track in BB. They can be imported audio files, or audio recorded directly into BIAB. Transposing your song does not typically transpose any audio tracks, so this option allows the audio to be pitch shifted if desired.
