I first measured how many cores were used with the frozen track I had, then I changed it to 12 choruses and measured it generating the song. I finally changed it up to the maximum of 40 choruses and measured it generating the song. Even with the maximum generation going on, BIAB never used more then 5 cores to any degree.
If you try a style with more instruments, I'd wager you'll have different results. From what I understand, audio processing is best done by a single core (as it's difficult to synchronize two CPU cores), thus most DAW software tends to run each track on a single core. Many plugins are like that too, depending on exactly what the plugin is doing. BB is no different - I generated a style with only one RealTrack, and only saw 100% usage in one CPU core (a little bit in the others but well under 50%), then generated a style with a dozen RealTracks and saw 100% usage in every core (this computer only has 6 cores, and I don't have anything more than that to test with at the moment).
