Hi
I would like some information on how to remove the gray bars that are in the middle of the lead chord sheet on the computer. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony

Couple of possibilities here.

Sometimes there are gray bars on the Chordsheet of BIAB when you insert a part marker. For example, if you have the screen set to display four measures wide, but you add a part marker at the start of measure 3, you will see the first two measures then two gray bars because the part marker makes the phase start on a new line with measure 3. To my knowledge, this behavior cannot be changed.

But you said Lead Sheet. Are you talking about the LeadSheet View, or a printed lead sheet?

That would be the Lead Sheet view on the computer.

I'm not sure if this is related, but go to Display Options (you can right-click on the chord chart to select), and make sure this checkbox is unchecked:

Just as a follow up, I've tried and was so far not able to get grey bars on the Lead Sheet (notation) display.
I can get them on the Chord sheet by using several methods, including the placement of a tag, but not on the lead sheet.

I need further info, such as a link to a picture, or a description of the steps to take to reproduce the problem.

Hi
I haven't been on the board for a while so first off I want to thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. The problem was solved by going to: preferences-display then unchecking the "New line for every section" box. This removes the gray bars and makes it easier to read on the computer. Thanks for the picture and the solution.

So I presume from your reply that the grey bars were on the Chord Sheet, and not the Lead Sheet (notation) display?

I hope that's correct, because I did not understand it otherwise. Glad it's fixed for you.
