thanks to you all for listening.
much appreciated.

@DCRon. yes sorry to say no bb bass rt.
only pg product used was powertracks.
a reason why i was dubious about posting the song in the showcase
so used off topic forum.
lots of my other songs used BB rt's etc etc.
eg 'stallion' 'banker man' and loads of others ive never posted on scloud.

@BYBand. i dont normally include lyrics cos i'm a lousy typist...lol.
but once i get thru this busy week i'll try and post them.
sorry. been getting annual check ups and dealing with family etc.. phew i'm all good. always a big relief as one ages.

@GuitarHacker. yeah obviously the bass slide and the lyrics were a double entendre.

just a bit of background...details..

1..growing up in gritty east london and years after i never thought i would meet 'the one'.
at the same time east london makes a person pretty tough.
cos going to footie matches one never knew when a bundle (fight) with an opposing teams fans might break out plus in any normal day just living in east london the same.
there were even gangs of girls who were sooo blinkin tough you have no idea. even a lot of blokes were scared of them...lol.
they were that tough.
and my granny was always saying to me...
'those blinkin girls are trouble..watch out lad'.
which is why the song 'my granny told me' in my sig is about that.
in summary some of my songs reflect the gritty side of london.
heck...lol...one school initiation was to drag me through a few hedges.
all this stuff toughened me up at an early age.
sooo.
2..so by the time i met 'the one' (my wife)...
she bowled me over cos i was amazed by her character and kindness.
so the song 'a man and a woman' is very much about us and others
who have had trouble finding the right person.
in summary loooong after leaving the gritty days of east london and haveing worked all over the world i never thought it would happen to me.
frankly it was pure 'happenstance' or 'the gods deciding'....lol.
i can remember on our second date saying to her...
'i never want to lose you'.
many cherished memories.
she turned this tough east london lad into a better person imho.
i often say to her 'why the heck did you take this bad boy on'.
(she says she was tipsy when she met me...lol.)
believe it or not her work boss said to me 'you do realise every guy in this place wanted to date her you sob'...
'you had better treat her well'.

ps for any lurkers the song 'pretty girl' in my sig is about her also.

respect to you all and your talents.

happiness.

om
