After I put the chords into BiaB, I just could not get anything I wanted after a few days of hunting. So I scrapped the BiaB roughs and just played a few tracks of Rickenbacker 12-string (worst guitar ever to restring!!!). Before I knew it, a keyboard part quickly came, as did a bass part. I used Reason for the basic tracks. I think to fully use BiaB, I'm just going to put something in that's less specific. I'm a neophyte at audio editing - as you might hear a few glitches. Your comments are musch appreciated. https://soundcloud.com/randy-gollard/i-wont-forget

Randy, very pleasantly melodic playing. Like the jangly Ric in the backing tracks. Going back and looking at your previous posts, not clear why you're having issues using BiaB for this type of backing track. It's really exactly what BiaB was designed to do. And since you've purchased 2024, you've got a lot of nice music options at your fingertips. If you start a post describing your BiaB issues in the Beginner's forum I'm sure you can get exactly the help you need. Good luck!

Mmm. I like it. It's dreamy and uplifting. I can see credits rolling after a very emotional picture with a happy ending.

Cool, Randy. Good write, and well-developed. It's all good, but my favorite is the drums.

Randy, this is really a great song Super 12 string Super backing band Great mix Sounds great
PS - Changing strings on all 12 string guitars are a pain. I know as I have both an electric and acoustic 12 string guitars.
My momma didn't raise a fool. And if she did it, was one of my brothers.

Thanks everyone. MarioD, yes, I have acoustic and electric 12-strings too. The Rickenbacker however, is another story! The floating "R" tailpiece (where you have to load the strings on the inside), combined with the half-slotted headstock, makes for an interesting experience. I have found the best way is to load all the strings, and secure them with blue or green painter's tape, which easily peels off. Then, you start to secure them into the tuners. Heaven forbid you break the high "G", as then you'll have to surgically insert one from the bottom. It resembles that 60's kid's game called Operation.
I think the beginner's forum here might be a good idea for getting a template on getting successful backing tracks with BiaB. I know it can be done, as I have recorded at a studio that used it and I was thrilled with the results. I just get impatient and want to get parts recorded!!

Totally enjoyable track. I esp liked the repeated phrase (I heard it as something like Fm/g7/C)—I think that was excellent. I also think that diving 8th the BIAB toolkit, you could elevate it even more. Great work!

Thank you. Yes, I didn’t initially see the cadence as a ii-V-I, but it resolves as one. I’ll look into the toolkit suggestion!

Hi, Randy. Jangly intro, love the delayed drums. Pleasant listening.
