Hi RW.

To get bar-based lyrics to show up on the printout, it's necessary to do the follow.

1) Open the Lead Sheet window.

2) Click on the "Print" button on the upper left of the window (#2 on the image).

3) Use the dropdown menu (#4) to select if you want the bar-based lyrics above or below the chords.
By default, this is set to "No bar-based lyrics." (This is why you can't see them on the pdf.)

4) The lyrics position above or below the staff is controlled by the setting in #5. The default is "7".
