The Last Thing To QuitJust a simple song about how impossibile it is to get rid of irritations in life, when you get rid of the big things, you end up noticing all the small ones... and the irony is that there is one final solution... which I don't recommend, of course I assume there are problems concerning non-English words, but hopefully they don't irritate you too much "Sayonara suckers" is a quote from a movie, a little quiz: which movie and which actor said it? Originally I had Synthesizer V NineZero singing this, but his low range didn't work well and I didn't want to transpose the key up, luckily the new V2 vocalist Liam is better in that regard. RealDrums: RockClassicBritEv RealTracks: Electric Bass #519 Baritone Guitar #3905 (4 tracks) Electric Guitar #1257 Cello #2509 Harmonica Solo #602 Vocals: Synthesizer V Liam (lead), Felicia & Natalie (backing) Mixed in Cakewalk by BandLab (Neutron 4, Ozone Imager 2, Ozone 11, Neoverb) Lyrics: You called your life Alcatraz the kids were the bars, your wife was the guard too many rules, too many distractions time to escape across the prison yard. Sayonara suckers you said to your shackles yet you feel you are losing the game and when there's nothing else to blame the last thing to quit is your life. You called your life Amistad your job was the chain, your boss was the ball rowing against the stream of exploiters time to revolt and nevermore to crawl. Sayonara... you have played all your good cards no pawns for promotion you have canceled all subscriptions you have all the time, but no devotion. Tiny irritations too much time to think of to put them all aside there is one thing you still love... Sayonara... ---------------------- Janne

Hey Janne, That was a fun ride. Country punk? Very twisty melody, in a good way, keeps attention focused. Cool boutique lyrics. Mix is clear and listens well. Thank you for sharing, Misha.
P.S. "Sayonara suckers" - I dunno...Beetlejuice - Michael Keaton?

Janne, A fantastic intro! Those synth voices sound great Super groove, great arrangement, and mix. Sounds great.

Janne,
Great song! Liam has some really cool Bowie-esque passages in this song. The mix is stellar.
AWESOME!

Insane! But not in a scary way. Very cool sounding track. The opening is a nice jolt, and that harmonica solo comes out of nowhere, but works perfectly. Superb mix. Really enjoyed what you did with this theme! I also Googled "Sayonara, sucker" since I thought it might be a Japanese translation of "Hasta la vista, baby" . But I was wrong.

"and the irony is that there is one final solution" <-- APATHY. Fergitaboutit. Yeah, that's low but Liam came to the rescue. I like how the song starts with a soft cello, then quickly takes off. "Sayonara suckers"... was it Belushi in 1941?

Wow!!! This is super impressive! 🤩 That introduction is fantastic, and your arrangement is spectacular. You must have spent hours and hours writing, arranging and producing this, and getting all the pieces of this outstanding jigsaw puzzle together. You've really nailed using Synth V and shaping the voice to suit your needs. By about bar 2, I had completely forgotten that this was a vocaloid. I was captivated from start to finish!
I loved it! --Noel

We agree with Bob on the hints of Bowie in Liam’s vocal. Very good backup singing by the two synths also..
Nice arrangement and the BiaB session guys are in the pocket.
Quirky is good!
We qgree with you that even with all the big and small irritations that being above ground is much better than alternative 😊
Enjoyed it!

I loved it! --Noel Thanks Noel for your super positive comment Actually writing of this didn't take much time, fighting to get the stereo field of the guitar tracks to work took most of the time and it is still not perfect. And some work to find the right tone for Liam. Janne

Quirky, enchanting melody and changes I've become accustomed to hearing from you, but this has one more thing going for it: it's extremely catchy! I don't usually hear that in your work. I'm listening multiple times because of that aforementioned catchiness. Well done!

Neat little cello intro followed by a surprise of rocking guitars. Very cool! Extremely catchy chorus. One of my popfinger favorites. The synth voice sounds pretty real, especially when he tries to go down to the low notes, which sounds the way a human would.
