1) freeze track and then select some bars on that track
Achieved.

2) press F8 or right click on one of the selected bars and choose Multiriff Never looked at multiriff before, thanks.

3) at top of dialog choose track you wish to regen
Done

4) in bottom right area click Next button to get a new riff for the selected bars and repeat to hear another.

When I do this the section does not loop my two bar loop. I have no access to F10 whilst the pop up window is open. I suppose you have to keep pressing the Play button ovcer and over to audition?

5) you can then use Previous and Next buttons to review the riffs offered
Got it thanks

6) when (and if) you find one you like click the Accept button while that riff is active
Got it thanks

7) click Close button to dismiss this dialog and your new riff should be present in the selected bars even if that track was frozen

I find it sometimes helpful to solo the track before I do this so I am only hearing the desired track while auditioning riffs.

Hope that helps! [/quote]

Yes this has helped thanks. The only issue is the looping, which IMO is nogtoriusly flakey. I am always having trouble with it. TheSp[ace bar function will not loop anything on restart, even F10 can fall out if you date to click something somewhere else. I long for two virtual pins - on the chord sheet, one at the beginning of the loop and one at the end that forever stay put, until de-clicked.

Anyways I now have something! Thank you both.
