This brought back many memories

Finally got hear this on SC. Really nice song and I like the piano intro and outro.

Our fav of many great lines:
"The mailbox tilts like it’s waving hello
The garden is wild but it still tries to grow

That house will always be a home of mine"
This is a beautiful song and vocals.
We can hear your longing and the piano so well supports the imagery of children playing up and down attic stairs.
Janice said the outro sounds like she feels when driving down the street from her childhood home.
"That house will always be a home of mine"
No need to parse things out ... it's done well in all aspects of a production.
And we enjoyed it!

Well, you've officially made my day (and possibly my week!). 😍
Hearing that "That house will always be a home of mine" resonated with you both – and especially Janice's drive down memory lane feeling – means the world. It's exactly what I was hoping to capture.
I'm so glad the piano painted that attic staircase scene for you. I pictured it while writing and hoped it would translate! 🎹🌷
"No need to parse things out..." is the best review I could have hoped for. As you both know there is nothing a songwriter likes more that knowing the song hit the mark. 🎜 ♫ ♬

This was great, Iz! On some of those high raspy notes, you sounded a bit like Don Henley to me. Great piano and singing.
