Bonjour à tous, Je viens d'acquérir Band in a Box 2025 en Français. J'avais cru comprendre que ce logiciel était capable de générer des accords et un accompagnement pour une mélodie au format MIDI. Mon intention était de brancher ma guitare munie d'un micro Midi (Triple Play express de Fishman) sur mon ordi et d'improviser des mélodies puis de demander au programme d'ajouter à celles-ci des accords et un accompagnement, le but étant de composer quelques morceaux en laissant libre court à mon inspiration. Je précise que mes goûts vont plutôt vers le classique, même si je suis ouvert à tous les styles. Je parviens bien à générer un accompagnement, mais (même en lui proposant une mélodie simple, enfantine et proprement réalisée sur MuseScore), c'est dissonant et bourré d'accord compliqués. Cela fait des jours que je compulse l'aide et tente de comprendre les boîtes de dialogue, mais je m'y perds. Quelqu'un aurait-il une solution ?
Band-in-a-Box n'a pas été conçu pour générer les accords d'une mélodie, mais pour générer un arrangement (batterie, basse, piano, guitare, etc.) et des solos sur des accords préalablement saisis en notation anglo-saxonne (A = La, B = Si, etc.) dans la fenêtre « Accords » du logiciel.
Je crains que la solution proposée par Band in a Box pour trouver les accords correspondant à un fichier MIDI (Fichier, Importer, Importer accords de fichier MIDI, Interpréter accords) ne soit pas adaptée à une simple mélodie (succession de notes sur une seule piste MIDI) : pour identifier des accords Band in a Box a besoin soit de plusieurs pistes MIDI, soit d’indications supplémentaires (par exemple la basse) à saisir dans la fenêtre « Interpréter les accords d’un fichier MIDI ».
Bien que les résultats soient a priori également médiocres, tu peux éventuellement essayer de générer les accords à partir d’un enregistrement audio de ta mélodie. Pour cela : - Enregistre ta mélodie (à la voix, à la guitare, au piano, etc. ) avec un enregistreur audio (sur ton smartphone ou autre) dans un fichier audio (mp3, wav, mp4, …) - Importe le fichier correspondant dans Band-in-a-Box : Fichier, Ouvrir spécial, Ouvrir fichier audio - Ouvre la fenêtre de la reconnaissance d’accords d'un fichier audio : Vues, Assistant Accord Audio - Lance l’analyse : dans la fenêtre de l’Assistant Accord audio (ACW), clique sur Analyse et répond « oui » à la question sur l’insertion automatique des barres de mesure (à moins que tu ne saches le faire manuellement😊!) Tu obtiendras alors une grille d’accords très moyenne mais qui peut peut-être te servir de point de départ.
Merci beaucoup pour cette réponse extrêmement précise et documentée Depuis le début juin ou j'ai posté cette question, j'ai pas mal évolué par rapport à ce problème... Dans la mesure où j'ai compris que ce logiciel ne correspondait pas à mes attentes... Je précise que je sais assez bien trouver des accords en utilisant la méthode "artisanale" (chanter et chercher les accords qui conviennent en les grattant à la guitare). Et je suis donc revenu à cette méthode, que j'ai complétée en utilisant quelques logiciels gratuits, ainsi que mon vieil arrangeur Korg Pa 50. Auparavant j'avais tout de même trouvé une solution pas totalement convaincante : Editer/ Accord/ Réharmonisation d'accord (à choisir) Dans la fenêtre "Réharmonise la mélodie", choisir un genre comme "bouncy jazz", qui propose quelques suites d'accords simples puis appuyer sur le bouton "Réharmoniser tout le morceau". Le but étant d'obtenir un résultat simple à partir d'une mélodie simple, Pour voir si le logiciel était capable de produire quelque chose de basique... Apparemment la simplicité n'est pas sa tasse de thé... J'ai tout de même tenté, aujourd'hui d'y revenir pour un autre motif. Mais après quelques essais, je me demande vraiment si cela vaut la peine d'investir du temps dans le maniement de cette usine à gaz où la moindre action déclenche l'ouverture de fenêtres nous demandant de régler des dizaines de paramètres. Une chose est sûre, ce logiciel n'est pas ergonomique, à tel point qu'il semble même appartenir à une époque révolue. Mais, je suis peut-être mauvaise langue et cette complexité est peut-être le lot de tous les logiciels de musique... En tout cas, je te remercie pour cette réponse qui m'ouvre quand même de nouvelles pistes de travail.
J'utilise Band in a Box depuis la version 2006, donc depuis près de 20 ans !
S'il était relativement facile à maitriser à l'origine, je pense comme toi que c'est devenu une usine à gaz, de plus en plus difficile à utiliser en dehors de son usage primaire (on saisit des accords et Band in a Box génère un arrangement).
Mais Band in a Box reste incontournable depuis que PG Music a mis au point les "Real Tracks", ces pistes d'arrangements ou de solos joués par de véritables musiciens qui peuvent s'adapter automatiquement à n'importe quelle grille d'accords et à n'importe quelle tonalité. A ma connaissance c'est le seul logiciel au monde qui propose cette fonction : même Yamaha, qui est en pointe sur le sujet, ne propose que de la batterie pour des arrangements avec instruments réels .
Hélas, depuis cette date (2011 sauf erreur), PG Music concentre l'essentiel de ses efforts à créer de nouvelles Realtracks et de nouvelles fonctions, mais néglige beaucoup l'ergonomie du logiciel, qui devient de moins en moins clair et convivial.
