I was tasked with writing a 'fun little song' with a bouncy feeling by a female artist local to me.

I struggled to come up with anything, then I thought about a phrase she uses quite often in her everyday speech....Oh My Goodness............here's the result!

Ive utilised a female Ai vocal for the demo, however Im hoping that if she likes it I can get her to record her voice.

Any hoo, untill then, I give you 'Oh My Goodness' (Ai edition!)

LYRICS

Oh My Goodness

[Verse]
Woke up late the sun was high
Spilled my coffee but I can't cry
Threw on a dress and hit the street
Dancing to the chaos under my feet

[Chorus]
Oh my goodness can't slow down
Life's a circus in this town
Twist and turn just like the tide
Hold on tight enjoy the ride

[Verse 2]
Missed the bus but caught a smile
Walked a mile in style all the while
The world’s a mess but I don't care
I'll take the madness anywhere

[Chorus]
Oh my goodness can't slow down
Life's a circus in this town
Twist and turn just like the tide
Hold on tight enjoy the ride
tide

[Bridge]
Laughter echoes through the noise
Girls and boys lose their poise
The beat keeps pounding in my chest
This beautiful chaos is the best

[Chorus]
Oh my goodness can't slow down
Life's a circus in this town
Twist and turn just like the tide
Hold on tight enjoy the ride

Brilliant song and production! I was surprised that they were AI vocals as they're so good.

Hi Pete!
Loved this one! The female AI vocal on it - sounded really authentic and, given everything underneath it should have screamed 'country', I was so glad that the style of the vocal transformed this to indie pop genre instead - if that's what it's called. I listened to it a couple of times feeling sure that I could hear ukulele in parts, but it must just be the combination of acoustic and vocal that conjured that.
In terms of arrangement, I thought you had good use of holds and stops in BIAB bar settings to create different texture, and even though I could see it coming (I really appreciate your BIAB screen captures - how many like me are leaning in and having a good look at what's going on?) the key change was a wonderful lift to take the song home to the finish.

Hi, Pete.

Very poppy! Suno can generate some scary-good vocals.

Nice BiaB arrangement. The modulation on the final time through worked really well.

Good luck getting your vocalist on the track! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Brilliant. It works on every level so I wouldn't change a thing. The kind of song that just carries you along. Reminds me somewhat of Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly."

Excellent song! That is one of the best AI vocals I have heard to date. Great production all around!

I said no.

Seamless classic country sound. Really, REALLY nicely done. Slick job with the very dynamic BiaB arrangement. AI vocals are completely believable, but hope your requestor agrees to lay down a vocal track, and that she has your flair for country music. smile

Thank you so much Andrew! So glad you enjoyed your listen. I also thank you for your reference to the screen capture, I'm never sure if it works, but glad you find it helpful to see what's going on.

Well thank you kind sir!

Not redundant at all I'm sure. Normally I prefer to do my own vocals as like yourself I did 20+ years on the road with my country outfit all over the UK and Europe, however try as I might on this occasion I couldn't find a set of nutcrackers to enable me to hit the vocal range required to sound female 😂😂 hence the AI lol.

I shall have hotpot tomorrow in your honour, and as for Stanley, yep we are still holding our own in the league albeit only just lol. Both my wife and young daughter play for the women's team who are doing better lol.

Any hoo, thanks again my mate, much appreciated.

Pete
