Competition does make one practice more and practicing ain't a bad thing. It's cool rharv. It did make me practice more, but it also took of the fun out of playing. After I won a few contests, when I ran into a new guitar player they didn't want to jam, they wanted to have "dueling guitars". It got old real quick.
