He could have spent a bit more time explaining the fundamental pitch of the horn and how the harmonic series works. He could have used the sax as possibly a better example of how you can pick up any sax, in Eb or Bb, and the fingering is the same for a particular note. Just change the written note to adjust for it.
And then there is the trombone, a Bb instrument that plays in C.
