Hi Everyone,
Returning to BIAB and wanting to create in the Exotica style of lounge music popular in the 1950s. Looking for recommendations on Styles, or Xtra Styles I might purchase to help create. Love the program and looking forward to developing Martin Denny styled soundscapes.

I remember hearing "Quiet Village" on the radio way back when but had no idea it was the perfect example of the genre. Did a quick check but could not come up with an exact style but you might want to start with some slow bossa styles and go from there. You might have to modify the drums a little. I tried the following and it comes a little closer. 1. I added ShakerEven8ths to the solo track 2. I changed the drums to BossaBrushesPerc^ Found a chord progression here: https://tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic_id=49427This info might get you started in the right direction.

This may be way off, but I hear an underlying best that is close to Rhumba. I also hear a similarity to the best used by Ahmad Jamal in Poinciana.
