In Cubase Notation (the old one before Dorico), we have display quantize. This can either display or hide rests and it can express notes at certain levels. For example it is common to display quantize to 8ths. If the actaul performace has a bit of a groove then the 16th notes are not expressed in the score. Ths reduces eye clutter in a musical way. At no time is the actual MIDI altered, only the display. So often we open the score editor of BIAB and find unreadab;le notation, this would be a significant help.
