So generally, EQ on the vocal would be used to clarify it. Don't cover it with FX because that tends to have the opposite effect, making it harder to understand. EQ to remove lower freq where the mud usually lives and also to make room in the mix for the vocal to work without running interference with other instruments, and a bit of higher end to give it "air". You can also put a little bit of volume/compression/boost on the vox to get them a little bit more to the front of the mix. Just don't overdo it.

But like I said earlier, I thought the mix and the vocals were pretty decent to start with.
