Sorry about this. I know you've probably answered this question somewhere in the forum void, but I can't find a solution.
My song is one long chorus. I deleted 2 bars. I don't have any repeats, etc. Now everything after the deletion has changed. I'm guessing everything after the deletion has been pushed up two bars.
Is there a safety feature that protects the song structure when deleting bars? I'm guessing not.
Though it shouldn't be to hard to fix this problem in a future release. One idea is to implement dummy bars or whatever you'd call them. When deleting bars there could be an option to replace the deleted bars with these dummy bars that don't contain any music; they're there purely to keep the song structure in check, so everything after the deletion remains untouched.
Do you think inserting two bars right at the very beginning of the song would help?
Thanks, any help is appreciated.

please explain...do you mean.the 2 bars are no chords just blank bars ?? im a tad confused on your need.
om
my songs....mixed for good earbuds...(fyi..my vocs on all songs..) https://soundcloud.com/alfsongs (90 songs created useing bb/rb) (lots of tips of mine in pg tips forum.)
I deleted 2 bars from somewhere in the middle of the song. When I played the song, all the bars that came after the deleted bars sounded different, like it was playing different riffs from the ones I chose in the multiriff section, even though all the tracks are frozen.
Sorry if I'm a bit confusing with my explanation, I don't know how else to explain it.

I ended up regenerating all the bars that were messed up, so everything sounds ok again. Only now I'm a bit scared of deleting bars in case it happens again.

Were any of the tracks frozen when you deleted the bars? If so, these could have been playing old versions of themselves. This could have sounded strange.

I added the bold as I believe that is the problem. I have added and deleted bars many times with no problems but nothing was frozen.
{edit} I see Noel is thinking the same thing.

OK, a random thought; Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
Yes. Any midi-melody that is created and that is located on either the Soloist of Melody track (tracks #6 & #7 in the mixer) is not affected when a bar is deleted. This needs to be adjusted separately by using the options found under the Melody and Soloist menus. (See the attached image.)
The reason I asked above whether the melody is the problem is because one of my first rules in developing a song (after setting the key signature) is to make absolutely certain the song’s form is set before entering the melody. This is can be challenging to edit a song form after a melody is created with repeats and tags.
BIAB 2026 Win Audiophile. Software: Fender Studio One 8, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Fender Quantom HD8 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
I haven't used the Melody or Soloist tracks with this song. So far, everything seems to be working as it should since I unfroze all the tracks. I'll keep that in mind about the Melody and Soloist tracks, thanks.
