Hi Dan,

It's truly wonderful to have you back on the forum, and I've so missed hearing your music. This new song, "I Owed a Debt," is a powerful piece. The lyrics are very moving, directly conveying the core message.

Your production is, as always, impeccable. It's clear a lot of care has gone into the sound. With the use of AI in the mix, I find myself curious about the balance between the elements you crafted yourself and the AI components. It makes it a little challenging to offer truly specific feedback since I'm unsure where those lines are drawn. In the past, your songs resonated so strongly because they had this almost undefinable 'magic' that felt uniquely you.
Regardless, the song conveys a strong message of faith, and it's great to hear you creating music again.

Most importantly, I'm sending all my best wishes to you and your wife for her continued recovery. Take care, Dan.

Regards,

Izzy

Hi Dan, you've been missed. This is a sublime composition and so tugs the heart strings. Truly exquisite lyric. Bring on the gospel chorus!

Dan, good to see you back. Hope your return to the studio reflects continued progress in M'Len's recovery.

Beautiful song with gorgeous arrangement. Vocals are really nice, though I'm sure your original vocals weren't too shabby. Nicely done!

Well, reading the title I already knew what this song was about, or at least the gold of its digging. Dan, I miss you man. I'll admit to hearing this one days ago. Then only with headphones on my phone, but all the your wonderful magic comes through in its usual inspirational way.

Enjoy whatever happens!

But first I pray that your wife recovers from her stroke
As usual outstanding lyrics

Sweet thing. A little sibilant suppression would be nice but not essential.

Hi Dan,

I am so sorry to hear about your wife's situation. Medicines and treatments have made huge advances in the area of strokes in the last dozen years. My brother had a major stroke a couple of years ago while he was driving a long-haul truck. It wasn't until a couple hours after the event that a passing motorist found him. Today, no one who is unaware of his journey would know that he had been through such an ordeal as there are no visible signs. I sincerely hope that your wife's journey parallels my brother's healing.

In relation to your song, it is amazing. You are a truly gifted songwriter and performer. To my ears, this sounds fully professional in every way. With such outstanding results, I can see why A.I. is so appealing. Mind you, you have created first-class material for the A.I. to work with so that has to be a winning starting block!

Lovely song - lyric, arrangement and performances.

Your management of SUNO AI works very well.

It was great to hear your piano and harmony in there too.

We hope for your wife’s continued recovery.

Welcome back!
