I personally wonder about the fact that perfectly good code can be compiled on a PC but not on a Mac. Of course the reason is they want you to use Garageband or other apps, and don't say to developers, "here is your compiler". Then the issue of market size jumps in.

The comparable Macs at the store are 2 to 3 times the price for the same thing you get with a PC. Until the playing field is level in cost, and in development tools you won't see progress in my opinion.

In fact all the current work, if history repeats itself, may go out the window when Macs start running on some 'new' operating system based on the evolving ipad platform, and once again the developers will have no way to port to the new platform. It's happened more than once.
