That’s a wild story—finding the man, getting his masters back, and following the money? Way more ambitious than Sugarman. Makes you wonder how many other “lost” artists are out there waiting for a moment like this. Yes, indeed. Searching for Sugarman really had one central idea: that Rodriguez was a South African phenomenon. The makers copped out on all of the important stuff and concentrated on confirming their own bias. They could've/should've found where the money went within SA and secured a payout for the man.
