Thanks for the compliments on the song. My friend is a good singer and we'll see how he does. He's admitted it's a high bar he has to deal with.

We've actually collaborated on a few things before. He's capable and a good musician as well

This sounds like it has significant commercial potential. What a fantastic song and production! I love your guitar sound. I wouldn't have known this was a synth. I would like to hear this again when you get the human vocal.

The vocal blew me away. What synth program are you using, you didn't mention it. I'm only familiar with Synth V and Suno, are there others? Great job.

Thanks . We're hoping it does too. Currently I have a friend recording a live vocal. As soon as he gets it tracked I'll mix it and post the new version

Wow! This is a great song Herb, the (Suno?) vocal is spot on as is the mix and band. I totally get the Stapleton ref, but I can also hear some early Travis Tritt in there lol.

Really enjoyed this

Pete

Thanks. The synth vox are amazing. Yes there are quite a few other options now. I'll tell you this, it's not Suno and it's not synth V because neither one have voices that solid. 😉

Thanks.....
That is not Suno. I haven't been using Suno for quite a while now. It was getting rather boring and always giving me the same thing or lyrics that required extensive editing to get something decent

Liar: New (final) mix with new singer. I decided to amend it to this post rather than a new post, so only folks who are keenly interested will find it.
Unfortunately, my singer bailed saying he had recorded a few tracks but wasn't satisfied with his attempts. I had a backup plan. It's done.

Liar (new version)

Questions or comments are appreciated.

Herb,

I haven’t scrolled through all the comments below, so I’m not sure whether I’m listening to the synth vocal or not. But if so, it’s wonderfully done, and it fits the song perfect. I’m not sure I’d change a thing at this point. The song itself is killer country, accentuated by an awesome write. This is outstanding!!

Deej

Unfortunately, the forum disables editing after a certain number of days. I guess I can always change the song in my box account with a new upload but sometimes I just want to keep the original. So if you listened to the link in the original post, you need to look further down...near the bottom of page 2 for the most recent version.

The vocal on the most recent version is still an AI voice from audiomee. They are superior in many respects from the synth V voices.

Thanks for listening. Glad you liked it

Strong and clever lyrics around the subject. Cool guitars, everything perfectly mixed. Amazing vocals, sounds like a real singer to me, great work even though I don't know who has done the biggest work smile Just thinking that this has to be a new hit from a well-known band, a number one song on any country radio station.

Great collab guys. Love this. You two really know your country.

This is the real deal. Can't wait to hear any other versions. Keep me posted on the progress on this one. Very exciting and lots of promise on this one.

Thanks for listening David. The only other versions are the original song idea sketch from Brad and an early BB attempt.

Great tune, Herb, way better than most I hear on the streaming services! One of the best songs I've heard in a long time.

Very professional sounding, from the guitars and B3 to the strong synth vocals. Excellent lyrics, too.

You really know how to write 'em, and produce 'em!
