Oh yeah.

Love it.

A huge, well blended sound. Awesome vocals.
Terrific bass and guitars. I did want a little more of the guitar on the right side (the left side pulled my ear).

Good write throughout.
But let's talk about that Chorus! Something special. A Great Chorus.
The line repeat is overlooked these days.
And then it builds perfectly after that.
Killer.

deej and rayc,

It's a very energetic song.
The chord progression, melody and vocals are all great.
It's a cheerful rock song that's very deej-like.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

A catchy pop song reminding me strangely of Beach Boys - sea & water & sunlight create a nice vision, Portugal seems to have been a very inspiring place. Lyrically positive, full of light and love, I liked especially "‘Cause all the storms and floods will be/Nothing more than scenery/As long as I can ever be/
Here and by your side"

The chord progression is enjoyably full of summer. The guitars are tinkling nicely. The bass is very tight.

Great vocals, sounding bit muddy is the only thing not to my taste.

Thanks FJ,
I be lying if I said we weren't waiting for your observations. Implemented them of course.

Thnaks Shigeki,
The chord progression is basically walking up & down in A.

Love the lyric, especially the chorus and last verse
Great driving feel! Classic rock to the max.

Excellent PG band and Ray’s playing and Deej’s vocals are standout.

Love the “yea yea yea’s” at end.

Excellent collab that shows the many benefits of this community.
We feel no need to try and parse it out as it sounds fine on the Kalis.
We'd rather go back for another listen than parse. smile

Very enjoyable,

J&B

Floyd, Adachi, Janne, and J&B:

Thanks all for the comments. We've tried our best to address some of the comments, particularly those around levels of "muddiness" and "compression". I'm not sure it's improved, but hopefully so. The most current iteration has been uploaded into SoundCloud as of the date and time of this post.

Stay safe and well all--

Hi, all:

One last post on this thread from me. Ray and I had thought we were done . . . but after a couple days away and then re-listening, I was kind of thinking we went a little too far on some things, and it was sounding a bit too high end to me, particularly the vocal relative to the music. And there were a few glitches catching Ray's ear as well. So we made some minor adjustments, added back in a guitar on the right . . . And I think this time we both agree it's as done as it's going to get (though you never say never, right?)!

So the link is to the most current version as of this post!

Thanks again to everyone for the feedback that helped take it, I hope, to a much better place!

(As I don't want to bump the song up again, I'll give my advance thanks to any additional posters who chime in hereafter. The listen is much appreciated!)

Stay safe and well all:

Deej

Great rocking tune, Deej and Ray!

Strong vocals fit the song well; reminds me of a band I like, The Volebeats.

I enjoyed the lyrics and chord changes in the chorus, as well as the lead guitar. And the tag ending was a nice touch.

You guys work well together, you should keep doing it.

Great collab, I love the energy of the song and especially your vocals.
The mix could have a little more treble, but that might ruin the underground character of the song.
Enjoyed my listen.

Deej,

This is such an impressive sound and impressive song. You and Ray have truly reached an awesome level of professional excellence. I love everything about this. Your vocals are a standout and your performance is sublime. What really captured my imagination was the way the AABBBA rhyme scheme worked in the lyrics for the verses. I've never encountered this rhyme pattern before and I'm thoroughly impressed. Using a third, displaced A-rhyme with a shorter poetic meter at the end of each verse was a magnificent way to lead into be resolved by the chorus. It's definitely something that I'll be testing in the future!

I thoroughly (and enviously) enjoyed where you and Ray took me.

This was a musical journey and a half.
--Noel
