Indeed. It's a brilliant production that I thoroughly enjoyed, but as you say, not a raw performance.

I think the sound is too close-mic'd and too consistent to have been a raw performance, especially with the movements he makes, but the absolute proof it's not raw is that the video was made in at least two locations. I wasn't entirely convinced that some sounds weren't also added, but I certainly couldn't say that with any confidence at all.

Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
