Ooh I do like this! Really nice work. Everything fits together nicely and I don't find the first guitar solo overly prominent in the mix., the second however, imo, could back off a little..... Not by much though.
Nice 👍

Nicely done, Chay. I don't think the solos are too loud, but the high frequency distortion does at time poke through the mix a bit much, to my ears. But your arrangement works really well.

Chay,
Great arrangement - you do this so well. I thought the mix was excellent. Nothing sounded off to me.
Great stuff!

Chay, when just listening to those guitar leads they sound OK BUT when compared to the volume of the viola and violin they are louder than them. However that is only my opinion and others may not agree.
This song is a winner. You are a fantastic musician. Sans the guitar leads as mentioned above the mix is spot on. Outstanding work.

Mix sounds very well, Chay. I really like the string section. Very well done. The whole tune flows so richly. There is so much to enjoy --the main characters and the cool supporting cast all add so much. Really enjoy these tunes of yours. The other day, I listened to a whole playlist of your stuff while just walking around the house doing stuff. Not sure what I got done, but I sure did enjoy it.

Not by much though. Nice 👍 Pete Thanks for listening and responding, Peter. When I listen at home everything sounds balanced, but not when I view on YT. Even though the volume balances are the same for the opening and closing guitar solos I hear the 1st one as just louder. I also find the volume level one has set gives different impressions, but before I upload to YT I listn to all of my tracks at low, medium and loud levels.

Hi Chay,
Very enjoyable. the organ pretty much sold it for me. I like the last guitar lead part best. It was a bit more mellow than the first one and was a perfect fit for the rest of the song.
Nicely done, as always!
Best to you,
Alan

Nicely done, Chay. I don't think the solos are too loud, but the high frequency distortion does at time poke through the mix a bit much, to my ears. But your arrangement works really well. Hey, Ron. This reply may seem off-topic initially, but it's not. I've just been watching some TV shows about UFOs/UAPs - something I've been interested in since my teens, but I have very different views to the majority - and the leaps in speculations are sometimes ludicrous. For example, a Mars rover discovered a 'tunnel' or cavern entrance which was immediately speculated by UFO enthusiasts as probably artificial and created by aliens. But it was next revealed that the 'tunnel' entrance was only 30cm high x 40cm across, so only something the size of a dog could get through it, at which point one of the 'expert' narrators speculated that the aliens might be very tiny compared to humans. So re this "high frequency distortion" you hear, could it actually be alien signals coming from within your speakers? Could your speakers actually be homes to alien bases created by alien beings who are so tiny they can't be seen by the naked eye? Have you ever felt itching in your nose suggesting that your nostrils are being excavated by these alien beings who are secretly harvesting your DNA?

Thanks for complimentary comment, Mario. I wouldn't call myself a "fantastic musician", but I am good with creative vision, originality, construction and arrangement/orchestration. Re mixing, I'm starting to notice I'm making mistakes due to hurrying as I've had so many tracks to channel-swap and remix and posting one a week I'll not be finished until the end of September, plus I've got new tracks to post. I've just bought my first basic mastering app, but it's going to take months to get the results I want. Every single part of music production is a true art.

Listening to a playlist of my stuff is a real compliment. I'd love to know what the playlist was. I've found I've only been listening to posts here and my own music for ages, but what I enjoy about listening my instrumentals' playlists is that I'm not distracted by lyrics. I wouldn't call most of it easy listening, but at the same time I'd prefer to hear material like this when waiting in queues when making phone calls as opposed to muzak.

Hi Chay, Very enjoyable instrumental, I like the way it progresses and the way you add in the various instruments. Intro guitar didn't seem too loud to me, maybe the outro one could come down a db or two. Which is the opposite of what Alan said, so to some extent it's a matter of personal taste I suppose Overall a good listen!

This year I've twice uploaded videos to YT having been happy with the balances when listening at home, that after one listen/view on YT I've immediately deleted the post, made corrections and re-uploaded later. Once it was a solo instrument being way too loud, then the other was background strings overwhelming the solos. That error came about through concentrating on making the solos even so I wasn't paying attention to the strings.

The guitars worked fine for us. We are fans of upfront vocals and solos so perhaps biased. The overall mix sounds excellent on our monitors. Open with dynamics. Something you always accomplish. Enjoyed it! J&B
